AEROLASE FOR ROSACEA

What is it: Rosacea is a chronic disorder that is characterized by facial flushing and with time the gradual development of persistent facial redness and spider-like blood vessels. Aerolase can be used to treat rosacea, by targeting the blood vessels in the skin. The laser energy helps to reduce the redness and inflammation, as well as the visible blood vessels. As a result, Aerolase can also help to improve the overall appearance of the skin.

Aerolase NeoElite® is a NdYag laser that uses 1064nm wavelength, and a very short (650-microsecond) pulse duration, which minimizes the risk of side effects and allows for deeper penetration into the skin.

Aerolase is a safe and effective treatment for rosacea, and many patients see results after the first or subsequent treatments. The number of sessions required will depend on the severity of your condition, but most patients see significant improvement after 3-5 sessions. We will develop a personalized treatment plan based on the severity of your condition and your individual goals. It is also important to understand that rosacea is a chronic condition that can only be controlled rather than cured.
The cost per treatment ranges between $250 and $350, depending on the size of the area. In rare situations, it could be slightly higher, due to the complexity of the case.
Aerolase is generally considered to be safe and side effects are rare. The most common ones are relatively mild and include skin irritation, redness, and dryness.
There is a mild sensation of heat that is very tolerable. A slight pinching feeling may occur when using higher fluences with the 2mm lens.
