Understand What is Happening:

Our skin changes with age. As our skin ages, the turn-over of our skin cells decrease resulting in dull skin with increasing sunspots and age spots. In addition, collagen and elastin production also slows down resulting in thin skin that begins to wrinkle.

Take a Holistic Approach

When it comes to aging, some people tend to think about what medicines or treatments could stop it or slow it down. We, at Dash Medical Spa, look at aging on a cellular level and encourage you to set realistic goals for health and wellness and let us focus on rejuvenating your youth.

Consider a Skin Analysis

A successful anti-aging treatment program begins with a detailed skin analysis. Dash Medical Spa has a VISIA which will test your skin in different light conditions, including UV light will identify the areas of sun damage and greatest degree of collagen and elastin loss.

Explore your Options

There are various options available to treat and improve the appearance of the aging skin, but It’s important to be realistic. After your skin analysis, you and the provider can weigh out the options on what is bothering you the most, whether it is a loss of volume, brown spots or maybe the start of wrinkles. From there, you can decide which options are right for you and your medical aesthetic goals.

Choose a Medical Spa That Benefits YOU

It is important to choose a practice that feels safe, clean, qualified and comfortable — This if your body after all. It is important that the staff is familiar with this process and has the dedication to work with each and every one of their clients. Find somewhere that allows you to express your concerns and helps you to stay youthful.

Laser hair removal is a much more cost-effective and painless way to remove unwanted body hair than waxing or shaving. However, the quality of laser hair removal clinics vary greatly and there are many things you should consider before selecting one in the Delray Beach area.

1. What type of laser hair removal is best for you – e.g., full body, bikini line

The type of laser hair removal that is best for you is really a combination of preference and area that bothers you the most. Some men and women will notice razor bumps on their skin after shaving certain areas of their bodies. This would be a good area to be treated to avoid razor bumps all together. Additionally, some areas of the body are prone to growing hair back faster, like the bikini area or under the arms. These are two common places to get laser hair removal to avoid having to constantly shave/wax  that area of the body multiple times a week. Although, ultimately,  you have the choice of where you would like to permanently remove unwanted hair.

2.How many treatments will be needed to see results

At Dash Medical Spa in Delray Beach, we have seen results in our clients a month after their first session, but generally at least 6 sessions are needed to maximize results. With each treatment, the actively growing hair follicle is destroyed. Less blood flows to the follicle, and the hair that does grow back will gradually become weaker and thinner.

While your hair won’t always fall out immediately, it will eventually get there. Some hairs are ejected as soon as they’re lasered, while others can continue to grow and fall out over time.

3. What are the risks and side effects associated with laser hair removal

For a day or two after being treated, the  area of your skin could  look and feel like it’s sunburned. Cool compresses and moisturizers may help. If your face was treated, you can wear makeup the next day unless your skin is blistering.

Over the next month, your treated hair will fall out. Wear sunscreen for the following month to help prevent temporary changes in the color of the treated skin.

Blisters are rare but are more likely in people with darker complexions. Other potential side effects are swelling, redness, and scarring. Permanent scarring or changes in skin color are rare.

4. Cost of treatment – how much does it cost,  what is included in that price and will my insurance cover it?

There are many variables that determine the cost of laser hair removal: type and color of hair, size of the area to be treated, how many sessions are required. Typically, multiple treatments are needed, usually between five and eight, depending on area and length of growth cycle. Dash Medical Spa in South Florida offers treatment packages of 6 starting at $399. A further consultation with our Delray Beach laser specialist is needed to determine the number of sessions you will need which will determine the exact pricing.

For Insurance, Laser Hair Removal is an elective procedure and is not covered by insurance. However, Dash Medical Spa offers Care Credit to clients who would not like to pay in full.

5. How should I prepare for a laser Hair Removal Treatment

Our providers at Dash Medical Spa In Delray Beach  advise that you stop waxing, tweezing, or plucking hair you want to remove for two to six weeks before your appointment, though shaving is fine. You should also avoid UV exposure during the month before your treatment, including that from tanning beds and self-tanning lotions.

Within 48 hours of your appointment, shave the area that’s being lasered using a clean, new blade. This helps the laser light locate your hair follicles.

6. Does the clinic offer financing options or payment plans so that costs aren’t as high upfront

Dash Medical Spa in Delray beach offers Care Credit. The CareCredit Card is a health and beauty credit card that allows you to spread out the cost of treatments, with payments as low as $150 a month. CareCredit offers a 12-month payment plan with no interest.

7. What is the process of Laser Hair Removal like and how long does it take?

Smaller areas like the upper lip, ears, chin can be treated in less than a minute, while large areas like the back or legs can take up to an hour. First, your provider will determine what laser setting is best for your skin and hair, as well as your goals. Tell them about any medications you’re taking, as well as any medical conditions.

You’ll need to put on special eye protection so the laser light doesn’t damage your eyes. During the treatment, the laser emits a concentrated beam of light to damage the hair follicle and prevent regrowth. While your provider methodically treats one small area at a time, you may feel mild discomfort, like a warm pinprick or snap, as the laser passes over your skin.

As you can see, there are a lot of factors to consider when deciding which type of laser hair removal is best for your needs. And if price isn’t on the top of your list, it should be – because even though this procedure may seem expensive upfront, many clinics offer financing options and payment plans so that costs aren’t as high upfront. If you need help choosing or would like an expert opinion about whether laser treatment is right for you based on what we’ve discussed here today, let us know. We’re happy to answer any questions and provide some helpful advice!

Okay, so we all know what Botox is and what it does. But what about these other options – isn’t Botox just Botox? Nope, botulinum toxin type A comes in other brands as well, including Xeomin and Dysport in Boca Raton. While Botox, Dypsort, and Xeomin all originate from the same source bacterium and are all neurotoxin injectables that treat dynamic facial wrinkles by blocking communication from nerves that tell muscles to contract, there are clear differences in all three that are important to know before choosing the option that’s best for you. We’re going to break them down to help you pick the right option!

Here’s the 411 on Xeomin

Both Botox and Dysport contain an accessory protein to carry the botulinum toxin, which is usually egg or lactose. This may cause them to lose effectiveness over time, because the body can develop antibodies that diminish the effects over time. Xeomin doesn’t contain these proteins and is considered a “pure” version of the toxin, which reduces the risk of allergic reaction and natural resistance. The absence of protein additives may also increase the effectiveness of Xeomin, which is FDA approved to treat frown lines.

Now, the Scoop on Botox

Botox was the first FDA-approved brand of its kind, and its anti-aging benefits have a proven history of success with millions of people worldwide. However, there is a chance that some individuals experience reduced effectiveness over time. But, it may also last longer due to the accessory protein. Botox is FDA approved to treat more areas than Dysport and Xeomin, including forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet.

Finishing Up With the Dish on Dysport in Boca Raton

Dysport has the benefit of showing results sooner, with a quick onset time of three to five days for full effect. Plus, it has better diffusion, meaning that it is better distributed under skin once injected. But, results may not have as dramatic of an effect because it diffuses more. Dysport is the choice most individuals who have stopped responding to Botox turn to when Botox loses effectiveness. It is FDA approved to treat forehead wrinkles and frown lines.

You’ve Got the Facts, Now It’s Time for the Next Step – Book Cosmetic Injections Like Dysport in Boca Raton

Okay, so now you have all the info about each type, how do you decide which brand of injection to choose? Tired of trying to improve your skin with drug store products that just aren’t working? You’ve got some great options available to rejuvenate and even correct issues like scarring, dark spots and texture. Two popular non-surgical options are laser skin resurfacing and microneedling. Both offer amazing benefits but work in different ways to get that gorgeous skin glow you desire. Here is what you need to know about laser skin resurfacing and microneedling in Delray Beach.

What Is Laser Skin Resurfacing?

During treatment, laser light is directed at the outer layers of the skin, speeding up the turnover of skin cells. Depth of treatment varies depending on individual skin concerns. Laser treatment causes the damaged layer of skin to peel and reveal new, younger looking skin. Heat from treatment also impacts deeper tissues layers stimulating collagen production.

Laser skin resurfacing varies in depth, so treatment may be more intense than microneedling, and it may offer more dramatic results for deeper issues. It is used to treat many conditions like:

  • Dark spots
  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Red areas or uneven skin tones
  • Scarring

What Is Microneedling in Delray Beach?

Microneedling stimulates changes in the skin by using tiny needles to stimulate the natural healing process, encouraging production of collagen and elastin for firmer, more youthful skin. With no downtime required, microneedling is a popular choice.

Effective and minimally invasive, microneedling can be used to treat many skin conditions such as:

  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Scarring
  • Skin firmness and texture issues
  • Uneven skin tones

What to Expect After Treatment

Both treatments increase skin turnover, so you can expect some redness and / or peeling. You should follow your cosmetic specialist’s care instructions carefully, especially protecting your skin from sun rays. After either treatment, expect to see your best results after a few weeks.

Although they’re known as love handles, you probably don’t actually love those rolls around your waist that stubbornly resist your diet and exercise efforts. Men and women are choosing to sculpt their stubborn fat away with effective yet non-invasive treatments like CoolSculpting Elite near Boca Raton. Does it really work? Here’s what to consider.

What Is CoolSculpting ELITE Near Boca Raton, and How Does It Trim My Love Handles?

Using cryolipolysis technology, fat cells are effectively destroyed by freezing. During CoolSculpting ELITE treatment, the fat cells in your love handles are targeted with freezing temperatures. Over the following weeks, your body will metabolize the dead cells, resulting in a more sculpted shape.

How Long Does Treatment Last?

Treatment is often done during a lunch hour. It’s easy to fit into your busy schedule, because it typically takes less than 60 minutes and afterwards you can resume your regular activities. CoolSculpting ELITE near Boca Raton requires no downtime or recovery time! Unlike traditional surgical options, you’ll be able to lie back and relax during treatment, and there is no pain.

How Many Treatments Do I Need and How Long Do Results Last?

The number of treatments to slim your love handles is highly individual. It depends on your goals and the size of the area. The good news is that results are permanent because the fat cells are destroyed and can’t return. However, you’ll need to continue a healthy diet and exercise routine to maintain your new look.

You Can Combine Use ELITE on Multiple Areas!

CoolSculpting ELITE is a great solution for many other areas of the body too. Treat your abdomen, chin,  thighs, upper arms, bra rolls, and more! During your session, consider treating multiple areas. Talk to your cosmetic specialist to find out more!

IPL stands for “Intense Pulsed Light,” IPL Skin Revitalization is one of the most effective treatments for smoothing out skin tone and texture and can help treat a variety of different skin conditions. This laser treatment will decrease the appearance of brown spots and vessels for a more even skin tone.

The IPL treatment is designed to activate the skin’s natural healing processes without actually harming delicate dermal tissue. IPL therapy should not cause scarring, infection, or other complications when administered by a qualified provider. At Dash Medical Spa we use the best FDA approved Icon Laser Hair. Dash Medical Spa is one of the few providers of the Icon platform in the Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach areas. In addition to IPL therapy, only the Icon Laser can perform a Three For Me which is a proven way to solve wrinkles, sun damage and facial veins all at the same time.

  1. IPL Photofacials are a great way to treat sun-damaged skin. Overtime, sunlight breaks down the collagen in our skin which makes it weaker and appear more saggy. Additionally, sun damage causes dark spots. IPL can treat these and generate a significant amount of new collagen to replace the previous destroyed skin.
  2. IPL Photofacials are an efficient way to treat stubborn acne and acne scars. IPL can also kill harmful bacteria and reduces redness and inflammation. Repeated IPL photofacials encourage the skin to shed and renew its outer layer, a process that gradually eliminates scar tissue.
  3. IPL Photofacials can eliminate veins and capillaries and Rosacea. Our patients use the IPL photofacial to dissolve broken capillaries and spider veins for a more even, youthful complexion. This procedure is also ideal for treating conditions that cause diffuse redness, like rosacea.
  4. Frequent IPL Photofacials can prevent premature skin aging.
  5. IPL pairs well with Injectables like Botox or Dysport. Botox can reduce wrinkles in areas photofacials can’t treat, like the region around the eyes. Dermal fillers enhance the lifting effect of IPL therapy by replacing facial volume that’s been lost with age.
  6. IPL photofacials are powerful enough to access deep levels of the dermis without harming it. Therefore, there is very little downtime. The treatment lasts about an hour and you can return to work in 1-2 days.
  7. IPL photofacial is a less costly alternative to Laser Skin Resurfacing.
  8. IPL photofacial can almost double with a laser hair removal treatment. Clients with lighter skin tones can use IPL to remove hair from large areas. IPL hair removal works by targeting the melanin in hair follicles, causing hair shafts to heat up. This heat damages targeted hair follicles, preventing hair growth.

Dramatically improve the appearance of your skin with laser skin resurfacing, which improves a multitude of skin issues, making it the ultimate facial! So, how long does it take to recover from laser skin resurfacing in Boca Raton?

What Is Laser Skin Resurfacing?

Laser light is directed at the outer layer of skin where the damage is found. The deeper layers are also affected, and the heat stimulates collagen production, so your new skin looks better than ever!

After treatment, the damaged layer will peel over time to reveal the fresh, healthy skin beneath. Enjoy younger looking skin, more even skin tones, or even treat scars. It treats fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, rough skin, uneven skin tones, scars, and sun damage.

What Does Treatment Feel Like?

People typically feel a stinging sensation during treatment. The discomfort felt largely depends on how deep the treatment is and your individual tolerance for pain. You’ll need to take care of yourself and your skin after treatment for optimal results.

How Long Does Recovery Take?

Make sure you leave time for recovery, and don’t plan a treatment just before a big event. After laser skin resurfacing in Boca Raton, your skin will likely be red, and as the damaged layer is shed, your skin will peel.

Treatment is non-surgical, but expect recovery to take about two weeks. During this time follow all of your cosmetic specialist’s instructions to protect the new skin layer. You’ll need to avoid damaging sun exposure, keep the skin hydrated, and avoid using any products not approved by your specialist.

After Recovery, When Will I See Results?

After the top dermal layer is shed, your healthier layers of skin are slowly exposed. You’ll see your best results after about 30 days. Continue to take good care of your skin with a quality skin care regime, and protect your skin from damaging sun rays.

Restore Your Skin – Make an Appointment Today for Laser Skin Resurfacing in Boca Raton!

It’s time to solve your skin issues with laser skin resurfacing from our professionals at Dash Medical Spa. Talk to our cosmetic specialists today to find out more about how it can help you look amazing. Contact us today for a consultation at 561-409-5959.

What is Laser Skin Resurfacing?

It is one of the most effective ways to achieve younger looking skin without surgery. Laser skin resurfacing uses fractional microbeams to emit columns of laser energy into the skin. The body’s natural healing process then creates new, healthy tissue while increasing collagen production resulting in younger-looking skin.

It is the best treatment to cater to various needs all at once to diminish brown spots, acne scars, pore size, fine lines, and wrinkles.

How To Prepare For Laser Skin Resurfacing?

Preparing for this laser treatment requires some lifestyle changes. Two weeks prior, you want to stop:

Medications and blood thinners: ibuprofen, aspirin, vitamin E

Exfoliating products: tretinoin and topical retinoids

Unprotected sun exposure: the use of tanning beds or out in the sun without daily use of SPF 45+. Those being treated should avoid indoor and outdoor tanning 4 weeks prior.

Cold Sores and Blisters: If you are prone to cold sores and blisters, our doctor will prescribe antibiotics before your procedure to prevent any post-op.

Smoking: Stop smoking before and after for 2 weeks

What To Expect During and After Procedure

What nobody really talks about until the procedure is the pain level. We are here to tell you that it is definitely not painless. Depending on one’s pain tolerance, laser resurfacing will cause mild to moderate discomfort. It is, however, short lived and well worth it since this procedure is one of the most consistent ways to improve your skin without undergoing expensive facelifts.

To minimize discomfort, a lidocaine numbing cream will be applied prior to starting the treatment.

Since everyone has a different skin type and sensitivity, recovery times will vary. For some, it could be barely noticeable two days after the treatment. For others, it could take up to two weeks to fully recover. That is why it is very important to have a proper skin analysis with a specialist before scheduling this treatment.

In general, most people will experience  a mild sunburn-like sensation for 2-3 days after the laser treatment. Mild swelling and/or redness may also be present. It is strongly recommended to apply wrapped ice or gel packs to the treatment area for 10-15 minutes every hour for the next four hours, as needed. Never apply ice directly to the skin.

Until redness has been resolved, it is recommended to avoid the following:

– Applying cosmetics to treated areas.

-Pools, Hot tubs, Jacuzzis, and saunas.

-Activities that cause excessive perspiration or any activity that may raise body temperature.

– Sun exposure and tanning in treated areas

-Aggressive scrubbing and use of exfoliants on the treated area.

What Is The Cost Of This Cosmetic Procedure?

The investment of this treatment varies depending on the area and sessions needed. The range for a single treatment goes from $350-$750.

For the most part, treating smaller areas of the body  will be less costly. Larger areas tend to be more costly. With that being said, the size of the area being treated is not the only deciding factor when it comes to pricing. The severity of the problem and the overall complexity of the case will impact final costs. It is important to have a consultation with a  laser specialist to get a precise treatment plan.

What Is The Best MedSpa For Laser Skin Resurfacing in Delray Beach?

At Dash Medical Spa, we have one of  the most powerful and proven lasers in the industry. The Cynosure ICON 1540 Fractional Laser is widely used in some of the most prominent plastic surgery and dermatology centers in the country.

Having the latest technology is not enough. Knowing how to use it and who the right candidate is what separates one clinic from another. Dermal Fillers (also known as Hyaluronic Acid Fillers) are one of the most effective treatments for helping to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, provide volume to the skin, and help reverse the signs of aging.

How Much Do Dermal Fillers Cost?

We price our dermal fillers per syringe/ 1cc. Price will differ in brands or types of dermal fillers, and expertise of the medical practitioner.

They are all great universal top of the line most used brands:

RESTALYNE (Kysse, Defyne, Refyne) $750

VERSA $650

It is similar to comparing Mercedes with BMW. Both are great luxury cars, but it comes down to preference. Preference in dermal fillers usually is determined by what area you want fillers in. The total cost of treatment also varies from patient to patient, depending on the number of units required to achieve the desired result.

How To Choose A Good Injector.

As with any cosmetic procedure, it is a good idea to choose a qualified injector for your treatment. A lot of facial anatomy knowledge is required to achieve natural results with soft tissue fillers.

***Caution: The facial nerves are extremely complex and filler injected into blood vessels can cause stroke, vision problems, blindness and damage to the skin. That is why it is extremely important to do research on your selected provider. Beware of ultra-low-cost procedures or “at home” parties.

Our two injectors (Dr. Troiano, MD) a facial plastic surgeon and (Noya Kantor, PA-C) a master injector, are highly qualified to help you determine what filler is best suited for your desires and your facial anatomy at your consultation.

Maintenance Of Dermal Fillers:

Dermal fillers are a temporary solution to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, add volume to the skin, and help reverse the signs of aging.

Maintenance is required and you can expect fillers to last between 6-12 months on brands like Restalyne, Juvaderm and Versa. With the exception of Sculptra which lasts longer, up to 24 months that is why it is higher in price.

Note: These numbers are on average. It really depends on your lifestyle (working out/smoking/metabolism) and other factors that could affect your maintenance time.
